Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) is the largest Spanish technological university specializing in all engineering fields and architecture. With two recognitions as Campus of International Excellence, its outstanding

research activities and highly qualified professional training make UPM a competitive university at the international level. More than 2.400 researchers carry out their activities at the UPM, grouped in more than 200 Research Groups, 20 Research Centers or Institutes, and 55 Laboratories, all of them committed to transforming the knowledge generated into innovative advances applied to the productive sector, contributing to solving the challenges of the European citizens. These two commitments place UPM among the Spanish universities with the most significant research activity, both at the national and international level, counting on an International R&I Projects Office that helps and supports researchers in the global research arena. Thus, UPM ranked as the first university in Spain to participate in Horizon 2020, with more than 120M€, and it continues to lead in Horizon Europe, with 25 M/year.
