With 12 million inhabitants and an annual GDP of 782 billion, Île-de-France is the EU's largest NUTS-2 region in terms of population and economic power. As the Region's zoning and climate strategy are being updated, further approaches like the one developed by aRTes need to be explored to intensify the use of rooftops at controlled prices to support adaptation to climate change and human well-being.

This project has been funded by various national research and development agencies under the Driving Urban Transitions Partnership, which is co-funded by the European Commission. In addition, the project EP/DUT/0923/0063 is implemented under the programme of social cohesion “THALIA 2021-2027” co-funded by the European Union, through Research and Innovation Foundation.
